A BANDEIRA LITUANA NO TOPO DO MUNDO!
Em
22 de maio de 2013, "Edita Nichols" foi a primeira mulher lituana a
chegar ao topo do Monte Everest, o mais alto do mundo, dedicando sua
ambiciosa missão a uma campanha chamada "Everest para Sahel 2013". Sahel é uma região no oeste da África que se estende por oito estados. A
falta de alimentos nesse local é constante devido às condições naturais
adversas, piorando consideravelmente após a quebra da safra de 2011.
Edita Nichols viu de perto a grave crise que afeta milhões de famílias
nessa região e resolveu chamar a atenção do mundo com essa expedição ao
Monte Everest, recolhendo fundos para ajudá-los. Edita contou com seus próprios recursos, com o auxílio de
patrocinadores e doações voluntárias vindas de diversas fontes para
realizar esse projeto, destinando todo o dinheiro arrecadado à população
de Sahel.
Hoje, graças a essa corajosa alpinista, a bandeira da
Lituânia tremula no topo do mundo e faz com que muitas famílias de
Sahel, estejam livres da fome!

We, Brazil, with football. You, Lithuania, with predominant sport in the region.
Obeying the laws of their country, with humility, we give the following suggestion:
Take a few soccer players and interact with the Lithuanians.
Likewise, bring some to help us here in Brazil.
We have a project with the Brazilian government, which await response to provide conditions in our country. We hope soon to have this response from the government.
